Junior Data Scientist – Computer Vision
Location- Bangalore

Job Description-
We are looking for a passionate Computer Vision Engineer/Data Scientist who is eager to build AI-powered solutions using Deep Learning and Computer Vision techniques.You will work closely with senior data scientists and engineers to develop, train, evaluate, and deploy computer vision models for real-world fintech and document intelligence applications.This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience with modern deep learning frameworks, production AI systems, and large-scale datasets.

Key Responsibilities

1.Build Computer Vision Models:
Develop and improve models for:
Object Detection
Image Quality Assessment
OCR and Document Understanding
Image Classification

2.Data Preparation and Analysis
Collect, clean, label, and analyze image datasets.
Perform exploratory analysis on image and document data.
Identify data quality issues and improve dataset reliability.

3.Model Training and Evaluation
Train and fine-tune deep learning models using modern frameworks.
Evaluate model performance using appropriate metrics.
Conduct experiments and benchmark different approaches.

4.Research and Innovation
Read and implement research papers and open-source solutions.
Stay updated with advancements in Computer Vision and AI.
Experiment with new architectures and techniques.

5.Production Support
Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy and monitor models.
Assist in optimizing model performance for production environments.
Support API integration and model inference pipelines.

6.Documentation and Collaboration
Document experiments, findings, and model performance.
Work closely with product, engineering, and senior data science teams.

Required Skills and Experience/Education
BE / BTech / ME / MTech / MCA in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence related fields.

Technical Skills
Strong understanding of Machine Learning and Deep Learning fundamentals.
Good knowledge of Computer Vision concepts.
Hands-on experience with Python programming.
Familiarity with at least one deep learning framework: PyTorch (preferred)

Computer Vision Libraries
Experience with:
OpenCV
NumPy
Pandas
PIL
scikit-image
matplotlib

Model Development
Basic understanding of:

CNNs
Object Detection (YOLO, Faster R-CNN, SSD)
Image Classification
Transfer Learning

Problem Solving
Strong analytical and debugging skills.
Curiosity to learn and explore new technologies.

Preferred Qualifications
0–2 years of experience in Computer Vision, AI, or Machine Learning.
Internship or academic projects in Deep Learning or Computer Vision.
Exposure to OCR, document processing, or image analytics projects.
